What You Need to Know About Pay Per Click Advertising…
What is Pay Per Click?
Pay Per Click is just as it sounds. You create an Ad in which you pay each time someone clicks on that ad. Even though it may sound very simple, there are a few variables when it comes to creating a sale from that click.
What are those variables? When you set up a website, write articles or content, you are working around keywords, and you want to have keywords that are the most popular on the search engines and are related to your product. I am going to use AdWords as my example in this blog.
If you don’t do your part in keyword research, then you are going to be wasting your money. You need to use keywords that are going to bring in sales, and to do this you need to take the time necessary to research them. Because it does take time, many skip this important step.
Do you want a lot of Traffic with little sales, or conversions with a few great keywords? If you know how Pay Per Click works, then you will choose the conversions over traffic.
So, how do you find these great keywords that will turn into sales conversions for you?
You need to find keywords that are relevant to your product. Your Ads need to contain keywords relevant to your landing page and your merchant site.
What if you are looking to buy keywords that are phrases. For example, maybe you are marketing an Ebook on health food. You would look for keyword phrases such as “organic health foods”. If somebody is looking for health foods or even recipes for health foods, they may type in “health food recipes”. The person is looking for as many resources as possible in this subject area. To make their search more successful, and to choose your site, you may want to have the keywords “Easy Health Food Recipes” vs “Health Food”. Which of these keyword phrases would you choose?
If you are worried that you have to pay more for a more relevant keyword, you need to consider that a more expensive keyword that will sell your product is much better investment than that of paying for keywords that are never to be utilized.
Make a budget in regards to your Pay Per Click ads, be aware that you are going to lose some of that money, and learn from those losses.
Final Tips:
- Be sure your keywords are relevant to your product or niche market. Don’t just chose a few random keywords from a search engine database. This will not attract the attention you are looking for. You want to attract potential customers to your site.
- Set up several ad groups which are relevant to your landing pages. Remember you are targeting your niche and creating traffic, and because you are going to be paying for ever click on your ad, you want to create an ad that is going to create sales.
- Start small then upon it. Be cautious of how much you are spending on your keywords. The search engines are pretty accurate as to what the keyword phrases are worth, so you will be getting what you pay for, but just start off small, learn the process, then you will be an old pro at Pay Per Click Conversions before you know it.
Keep track of your ad campaign, monitor the sales and how much money it is bringing in or taking out of your budget. If you spot a problem, you can correct it early on rather than paying for it in the end.

Which PPC networks would you recommend Colin?
Wow you’re fast… i was going to make another post about that in the future but off the bat some that i have tried along the road and got results from are:
* Google adwords
* Facebook Ads
* MSN Adcenter
* Bidvertiser
* Clicksor
For me the one that I never got results from was Adbrite. Have you tried Adbrite and found any success?
Heh,
I have the instant subscription option with many blogs, where i get notified instantly when something is posted, and you would see me posting first in many blogs 🙂 That’s one of the tricks to make conversations started off quickly 😉
Btw i tried some of those, out of which Adbrite, Bidvertiser and Facebook Ads were unproductive for me!
well, this is sure works for you whose doing sales by taking approach of internet marketting, while I’m often act as the publisher :p
I don’t really got anything to sale beside some space on my blog, that aims at publisher in the first place :p
I was excited last week, and sure to have catch a wonderful tool at ridiculous price, but I got a little deception when reading the e-book.
I’m talking about the popular: Get Google ads for free (near of 60-70$ if you purchase it directly)
Hopefully I find it on Ebay, at starting auction prize for 0.01$ and I was the only bidder !
I don’t know if some of you have read it ?
My wrong interpretation was to be able to start advertising on Google for nothing or for penny….
For sure “the system” explained in the book could work, (and there is a huge earning potential doing it) but novice as I am, It scares me a little to start it strongly ( $$$ involved) as suggested
Someone have read the ebook and is doing it ?
pay per click search engine marketing (PPC SEM) is one of the most effective Intenet marketing strategies. But i haven’t yet do that, since i got nothing for sale. but i will looking forward to its.
so looking forward to PPC management 🙂

Heads up every one if you are bloggers on blogger . com -you should go to youtube and do a search as to how to ad adsense to your blogger pages and site… every time some one hits on them -google pays you! So if any one is looking for a way to get money that would/could be used to pay for adwords -that may be one of the best options. Also find really successful people in your programs and do a Search on them… lots of times you can obtain instant info on the places they are going to build their business programs or services and you can follow their lead!
Good luck every one!!

Tony,
I have purchased the Googles book… don’t lose heart. Everything is overwhelming in the beginning -just keep on and you will learn so much in such a short period of time. One easy way is to get WebEasy 7 – I purchased mine at Target for $30.00 + tax… it is a web building soft ware… it is fairly easy to use -even for a Newbie… you can pretty much click and drag and add your own text to templates or do it all on your own and use places like photo bucket to get your pictures form. If you can write at all Tony do article and press releases… but only submit to the ones that are free to get into. You can simply Google Free Article Submission Sites… Narrow it down and put in The Top 10 sites even if you only come up with one or two articles… go for it and submit it to each site separately and post them! Then if you create a blog you can feed it by adding each of your articles -or other ones you can pick up in the articles site you write in (from other authors -lots of my stuff has been added to other peoples websites and they include your links when they use your material- which further promotes you or your website! … you will build yourself via Search Engine referrals/rankings to your name or website that way much quicker. Bloggers are HUGE feeds for Spiders… use that to your advantage… hope this helps Tony. If you would like to contact me go to Google look for my Blog spot info and post a comment and leave me your info -if there’s anything I can do to make things easier for you -I would be happy to help you any way I can!
Good Luck and Best Wishes to You!
